Giving to ZCNYC: Fire Lotus Temple

Fire Lotus Temple exists because of the extraordinary generosity of many people. We depend completely on the sangha, including formal students, retreat participants, those who attend daily zazen or Sunday mornings, and all our friends and supporters.

In Buddhism, Dana Paramita, the perfection of generosity, is the first realization of the Bodhisattvas. The practice of giving is truly a way for us to let go and benefit others. Generosity cultivates joy, dissolving the sense of separateness between self and other. Buddhist teachings speak of generating merit through giving, and although there are many ways of understanding this, put in simple terms, doing good for others feels good. Please help the Temple continue to thrive by giving. . . and while money to pay our bills is essential, you can give your time, your effort, your energy, and your practice. All of these ways of giving keep the Temple strong.

All financial donations are tax deductible and your gifts are greatly appreciated. Donations received by MRO will be used as needed at both at ZMM and at the Zen Center of New York City.
